Руди является обладателем премии «Male Commercial Model of the Year”, имеет крупную аудиторию в социальных сетях и не планирует останавливаться на достигнутом.

А еще @bytarricelove @rickdaynyc @fineartvisuals @scotthoover1 @iblakeballard @onyskophotography @jjaskotphoto @saeedarab_artist @majidbazzel @hamid_unique @behnam.goshaee @synnamonphotography @lalotorre @davidchavez85 @gmvaughan @horaciohamlet @jesus__baez @vaughnericstewart @stevesimage @stefanogabbana @jasonsoul1 @vasjmorgan @bill_wackermann @nicolaformichetti @craegphoto @sandrommoran @stonezhuart @ivanmoralesphoto @michaelthomasmtpk @matthewhollerphoto @franklouisphoto @ruben_tomas @harolbaezstudio @christianalexanderphoto @sulaah @zavercompany @alirezanakhaeii @ca_nyc.miami @modern_visual_photography @kyra_ross @kikodionisio_photography @mattlian @viktorklimenko19 @adrianbayonaphotography

Rudy is the title owner of «Male commercial model of the year» and after a golden passed year with 25 magazine publications in 2016 we would love to go more personal with him to find out what s really hidden inside the man behind the photos, so let’s dig deep.

Tell us about the beginning of your career and how you got to where you are today?

I absolutely consider it tough working in New York. I have been working as a male model in many countries. The easiest one to me was Dubai in UAE; I was booking gigs so easily even with my worst preparation. I remember once I was having an ice cream and I was in my worst career shape when I got called up for the casting of Fast and Furious 7. When my agent from Diva models contacted me and told me I am booked I was surprised. The compensations were amazing at that time. I had very little competition. And as I have darker features I was booking western, European, Hispanic, American look models as well as Arab local look for their commercials. For me working in Dubai was like a dream. I was working with several agencies at the same time. The checks and payments were right on time. And I also experienced prince lifestyle including staying in the only 7-star hotel in the world Burj Al Arab. But I am not one to go for the easiest option. I prefer working in New York by acknowledging that NYC is absolutely the toughest location in the business for a male model. So here is the thing. I am the most dominant person you’d ever meet, I guarantee. Let me take you a little back in the time. Do you know why I chose mechanical engineering as I continued to graduate in master degree? Just because it was the hardest engineering in ranking. Do you know why I chose boxing as my sport ‘til I own the title of gold medalist of heavyweight international Azerbaijan tournament? Because I was told boxing is not for sissy models with pretty faces. And now you know why chose New York to work as a male model… Because if you can make it in New York you can make it anywhere. Just because it’s the toughest location with the highest number of male models gathering in the same place with the same goal. I am wherever the challenge is. That’s how and why I left that dreamy comfortable prince lifestyle and started from zero in New York and slept in the cold, survived by 2$ weekly on food, walked 9 miles just to avoid 2.5$ metro fare every single night. There were rumors in my family and the industry that Rudy’s success is caused by his genes; he is a lucky guy who is born in a better version! No baby, first I don’t agree with being called successful. And second I am a fu**ing bipolar who does

WHATEVER it takes to make things happen. And let me tell you something, if you were born in my situation and have gone through what I have, I promise that you wouldn’t have been alive by now. I just don’t nag; I shut my f***ing mouth and change what I dislike. I was born to terminate things on my path. I was born to change. And I am going to rip myself into pieces to keep many others whole. In my childhood I got through difficulties just by reminding myself: Rudy this will pass too. And tomorrow no matter what you wake up to, either it’s difficulties or comfort it will turn into memories and the results remain. That’s how I got through all the sh*t that I experienced.

Who are your favorite designers and why?

Well my favorite ones are:

Stefano Gabbana (Dolce & Gabbana) because he is a good friend of mine with great successful marketing. He has both a hardworking and a playful side at the same time.

Nicola Formichetti (Diesel) because he’s not only good in marketing but also has a great personality, and he’s a very good artist, I get lost when he plays piano.

Richard Chai: he is also a talented designer, creativity is obvious is his design.

Vas J Morgan (PrettyLittleThing.com): an awesome down to earth friend, I always enjoy his comments and ideas about my work, he totally inspires me when I find doors closed ahead of me.

Tom Ford: this one, I don’t know him personally, I just like him because he books manly muscular models for his campaigns often.

Who are you 5 favorite world renowned photographers and why?

Rick Day: I shot with him several times; he is a good talented friend and has always been by my side, no matter what. And I always can count on him, not only as a great photographer but as a friend.

Mario Testino: he is creative, and style leader in photography.

Scott Hoover: He is a lovely friend that I shot with in LA. He is an old school photographer who believes in basic equipment and natural lighting.

Carlos Alvarado: He has been one of the photographers I have been shooting with often, and we developed our shots since years ago to now together.

Thomas Synnamon if he doesn’t forget to give credits to my shots.

And @bytarricelove @rickdaynyc @fineartvisuals @scotthoover1 @iblakeballard @onyskophotography @jjaskotphoto @saeedarab_artist @majidbazzel @hamid_unique @behnam.goshaee @synnamonphotography @lalotorre @davidchavez85 @gmvaughan @horaciohamlet @jesus__baez @vaughnericstewart @stevesimage @stefanogabbana @jasonsoul1 @vasjmorgan @bill_wackermann @nicolaformichetti @craegphoto @sandrommoran @stonezhuart @ivanmoralesphoto @michaelthomasmtpk @matthewhollerphoto @franklouisphoto @ruben_tomas @harolbaezstudio @christianalexanderphoto @sulaah @zavercompany @alirezanakhaeii @ca_nyc.miami @modern_visual_photography @kyra_ross @kikodionisio_photography @mattlian @viktorklimenko19 @adrianbayonaphotography

Are all my favorite people I am honored to work with.

Could you tell our readers how you started this passion for photography?

My photography is my silent poetry. And my poetry is my photograph that speaks.

Why Fashion and not acting? Why this area of all the creative fields in the world?

It’d be a lie if I said I don’t like acting, maybe I stayed more and more in fashion just because I am more marketable in the fashion industry. And I would definitely love to join Hollywood if there’s ever a chance but because of my lisp it’s a little hard to get there. Especially because I like to be seen the way I am not the perfect Rudy that I like to be seen as. And this has been the main reason I have never decided to fix it although I have always been targeted by acting agents who insisted me to fix my lisp as the first step.

At what age and how did you realize you had this gift for giving emotions while posing?

Well, I like to share my view from where I stand. But I have always known that I am different. Although I have always been popular I have been isolated too. It’s kinda hard to say how. Like I have always surrounded myself with people who wanted to be around me and on the other side I’ve had no one around but me. I just see things a little bit different. I get lost in details.I forget things that are very obvious and everyone remembers and I remember things everyone forgets. I just know my emotions are wild, raw and limitless. I was 19, the first time I expressed them was in college when they called my name on stage as a poet and all of the university went into a dead silence. I still remember people’s rounded eyes looking at me surprised while I was reading my poem. Art was the only thing no one ever could have imagined to see from me, especially because I was a heavyweight boxing champion at that time with lots of bruises on my face often bleeding from injuries in my nose and gums. Totally a savage rough tough rugged Marlboro man, the last thing you would expect was poems and paintings. I am all contrasts. I have always been.

In terms of living in this social media era, what is your goal when you want to reach a broader audience being a model?

Do it without expectations. If you are going to start with any reason except passion, don’t. If you want it because of money, fame, pride and other things, don’t. One of the huge mistakes people make is that they try to force an interest onto themselves. You don’t choose your passions, your passions choose you. Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are do you will be successful. It’s that simple.

Can you give us names of male and female models who inspire you a lot?

David Gandy: I think he has a close style to mine, a rough rugged look than a skinny high fashion look. As I have more of a commercial look I’m usually inspired by those who do similar things.

But I like Toni Mahfud ‘s work too because he is a talented painter and I like what he sees. And Madison Paige in terms of female models because she got my first starbucks coffee ever.

What´s next for you Rudy? Any future goals?

Let’s see where the wind is going to blow from.
